These two articles are by Marc Prensky. The articles give a great look at what the minds of learners are like today. Prensky refers to the students as "digital natives". This is the group of children who have grown up in a technology-filled world. "Digital immigrants" refers to the group of adults who have not grown up in technology and must learn in order to keep up with the children in this ever-changing world. By implementing iPads in the Kindergarten class, we are allowing these "digital natives" to excel in ways the classroom has never seen before.
